Peacock Family Services was founded in 2009 with the belief that access to high quality childcare should not be limited to economically advantaged families. We believe that inclusiveness is essential to a diverse, engaged, and supported community of families. For this reason, the only limitation we have in serving at-risk families is the amount of support we are able to draw in from the community for our Tuition Assistance Program.
Each year, the Bainbridge Community Foundation (BCF) invites nonprofit organizations to apply for funding through their Community Grants Cycle (CGC). The CGC Evaluation Team has reviewed each application, performed a site visit and completed an evaluation of each application. Each organization, including Peacock Family Services, was also screened for financial health and current nonprofit status.
This year, BCF received 49 applications from local organizations serving all sectors including education, the environment, human services, the arts/humanities and animal welfare, with requests ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. Bainbridge Gives — a dedicated portal for online contributions — asks supporters to help bridge the gap between each nonprofit’s grant request and the level of funding available from BCF.
Please help us fill in the gap between BCF funds available and the funds needed for Peacock’s Tuition Assistance Program by contributing to our application at Bainbridge Gives. The deadline for gifts is June 17th. There are no credit cards fees, plus contributions are tax-deductable as allowed by law.
