our operations and facility

Our commitment to the physical and emotional safety of children is reflected in the operations and design of our facility.

Eco-Healthy Child Care

We are endorsed by Eco-Healthy Child Care, a national certifying organization for non-toxic, healthy and safe child care facilities. As one of the first Eco-Healthy Child Care pilot programs, both nationally and within Washington State, PFC has drastically reduced children’s on-site exposure to toxins and other environmental health hazards.

LEED Certification Design

The Peacock Family Center redesign and build-out were created to LEED specifications. The U.S. Green Building Council developed the LEED building certification system to recognize design and construction aimed at improving performance in the categories of energy savings, water efficiency, carbon dioxide emissions, indoor environmental quality, stewardshhip of resources, and sensitivity to environmental impact.

The PFC redesign and build out was a community project resulting from the generous contributions of in-kind professional services and materials. View plans of our facility. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader.
