Children thrive when we intentionally use our words to model language, extend conversation, get children thinking, and give thought-provoking feedback. Think you are already doing well in this area? Come find out! We’ll discuss the areas in which most of us can improve the way we speak to children. This session supports Early Achievers by focusing on skills measured by CLASS, but will provide useful information to all participants.

connie DConnie Dougherty manages the professional development program for early childhood educators at the Child Care Action Council. She is a former childcare provider, preschool teacher, and elementary school principal and is a popular instructor of early childhood classes held throughout Washington.
